The Ministry of National Security in collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Director of Grenadines Affairs has re-established the Northern Grenadines sub-base of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard Service on Bequia.

Senior officers of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) met with residents of Bequia on July 27 to discuss security issues on that Grenadine island.
The said in a release that the team was headed by team was headed by Deputy Commissioner Frankie Joseph and also included head of the Traffic Department, Superintendent of Police Kenneth John, Lieutenant Commander Ralphie Ragguette from the Coast Guard Service and Divisional Commander of the Grenadines Division, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Junior Simmons.
