NASHVILLE - The Tennessee State Museum will showcase 100 artifacts online and in person to commemorate Tennesseeâs 225 years of statehood.
The museum in Nashville says the artifacts will cover the topics of art, community, innovation, service and transportation and will span from as early as the Paleolithic period to 2020.
Self-guided tours and the online exhibition will be available from Tennessee Statehood Day on June 1 through May 2022.
The offerings aim to show an expansive story of Tennessee, from its earliest peoples to present day.
The items range from the a fossilized Mastadon mandible bone to and 1817 portrait of Andrew Jackson by Ralph E.W. Earl.
