A former Republican candidate for governor has announced that he will be pursuing the nomination for the position of lieutenant governor at the party's convention.
Tudor Dixon, the Republican nominee for Michigan governor, says she'd like Shane Hernandez to be her lieutenant governor if she wins in November’s general election. But Ralph Rebandt, who finished fifth out of five candidates in the state's GOP primary, says he still can win the nomination at the Republican Party’s convention this weekend.
She wants a former state lawmaker from Port Huron, Shane Hernandez, while one of the defeated GOP candidates for governor, Ralph Rebandt, thinks he has a better than 50-50 shot at winning the nomination.
It's still up in the air is who will be running alongside Tudor Dixon setting up a potentially quarrelsome Michigan Republican Party nominating convention this weekend.
