Tester leads hearing on VA vaccine roll-out   Last updated 2/25/2021 at 10:32pm The U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs, led by it’s recently appointed chair Jon Tester, D-Mont., held a hearing Wednesday to take stock of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’s vaccine roll-out and address concerns held by members of the committee. Tester said, based on everything he’s seen, the VA is doing an admirable job getting the vaccine to veterans efficiently and quickly, and complimented VA Acting Under Secretary for Health Dr. Richard Stone, who was at the hearing, for his work and that of his department, which has surpassed that of the private sector.

Robbery suspect sought by Grand Junction Police

The Grand Junction Police Department is looking for an unknown man who robbed the Alta Gas Station at 2525 Broadway at gun point last night at around 9:17 p.m. The man is believed to be in his mid-20s to early 30s, slender build, 5-foot-10 and was last seen wearing a brown ski mask, dark colored hoodie and dark jogging pants. The suspect fled the scene on foot with a little more than $200 in cash, the GJPD reports. Extra patrols set for Super Bowl The Colorado Department of Transportation reports that almost 100 agencies across the state will increase patrols during Super Bowl weekend.
