PERRY TWP. C&C Medical Billing owes the township more than $1.1 million because it mishandled billing for the local government s EMS services, a state audit has found.
Ohio Auditor Keith Faber on Thursday released a 2019 financial audit that highlighted discrepancies with the company s billing. The township is owed $1,118,111, the audit says.
The state is pursing a civil lawsuit to recoup the money for the township.
Perry officials first reached out to the state in early 2018, after discovering several irregularities over a nearly two-year period in medical billing via C&C Medical, which previously had a five-year working relationship with the township.
