Dimapur, June 12 (EMN): The first Rajpukhuri angling competition, organised by Rajpukhuri Angling Management, was held at Rajpukhuri Pond, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur on Saturday. According to the organisers, Shubhashish Deb (Bablu) emerged champion with the biggest catch and walked away with a Pulsar motorcycle. Chipen Patton, who secured second spot, won a scooty, while Akaito Sumi finished third and won a firefox bicycle. 25 other participants also won prizes in different categories, an update informed. Akato Chophy, president, NSCN/GPRN attended the closing function and gave away the prizes. He congratulated all the winners and encouraged the promotion of angling as a sport and ecotourism activity. A total number of 241 anglers including female anglers and anglers from Assam, Manipur and Tripura participated in the day-long competition.
