TEZPUR: The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ), Tezpur University (TU), in collaboration with the Youth Wellness Hub, Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH), Tezpur has organized a three-day workshop on the promotion of emotional and mental health of youth from January 6 to January 8.
The workshop titled Pursuit of Wellness , which is being supported by the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, is aimed at fostering discussions around youth mental health issues with special reference to the north-eastern region of India, building awareness about youth mental health problems and facilitating destigmatization through dialogues.

While delivering guest lecture virtually on “Relevance of Needonomics for Atmanirbharta in Rural India’ being organised by Tirupati-based Academy of Grassroots Studies and Research of India (AGRASRI), Prof Goel said that we need to learn from Saemaul Model of rural development and ‘palli palli’ culture of South Korea involving all with only eleven per cent contribution of the government through training and material instead of money in cash to villages.

Immigration agent booked
Chandigarh: The UT police have booked an immigration consultant for cheating a Punjab resident. According to the police, complainant Jaswinder Kumar of Jalandhar alleged that Zoya Khan, manager, Fast Immigration Consultant, Sector 34, cheated him of Rs45,000 on the pretext of providing work visa for Singapore. A case under Section 420 of the IPC and Section 24 of the Immigration Act has been registered. TNS
