Earlier this week, police invoked sections of UAPA on the accused in three cases for their alleged involvement in the murder of three persons in Nuh violence, and an attack on a cybercrime police station.
According to court documents, the action by the Nuh Police comes nearly six months after six persons were killed in communal clashes that erupted in Nuh and adjoining areas following a yatra by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the Bajrang Dal on July 31 last year.
While Saini was arrested on February 17, the other two were arrested on April 13. IPC provisions invoked against them include kidnapping, wrongful confinement, murder, causing disappearance of evidence, criminal conspiracy and rioting.
