Power, coal sector PSUs sign pacts with Rajasthan govt for thermal, renewable projects

NTPC, NTPC Green Energy, Coal India, and NLC India sign MoUs with RVUNL to enhance efficiency and develop thermal and renewable energy projects. NTPC plans to add supercritical units to the existing Chhabra thermal power plant. The agreements aim to reduce generation costs and expand non-fossil capacity to 45-50% with a total portfolio of 130 GW by 2032.

The chief minister said the gas cylinder scheme will be as per the BJP's Sankalp Patra (manifesto). Earlier, the cylinder price was Rs 500. The BJP government has slashed the prices of Rs 50.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma made the announcement. Now gas cylinders under the Ujjwala scheme will be available at Rs 450 from January 1. Earlier, the price of LPG cylinders under the scheme was Rs 500. In its poll manifesto, called the vision document , the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had promised a subsidy of Rs 450 per LPG cylinder for Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries and 2.5 lakh government jobs.
