If all goes well, the initiative that was launched at Sampangiram Nagar on November 15, with just three volunteers, is set to extend to other areas in the city. On Wednesday, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner N Manjunath Prasad launched this programme officially. More than 20 volunteers removed nails from trees between Shivananda Circle and Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath on Kumara Krupa Road. The Bangalore Political Action Committee, in association with Nails Free Tree Campaign team, had organised the programme.
