Driving instructors have said they do not think that 10 days to prepare for a test is enough for people who were not test ready before lockdown. Tests have resumed today (April 22), with some learners expected to get back up to test standard after lessons only resumed on April 12. Instructors said this could be very daunting for some pupils if they have not access to a family car, meaning they may have been unable to sit behind the steering wheel for 14 weeks. Acorn Driving School in Blackburn doesn t have any pupils who are taking their test in April but has a number of pupils sitting a test in May.
