At least three people were injured by gunfire in San Francisco on the July 4th holiday, and one of those was a 14-year-old girl who was watching a fireworks display.
San Francisco police have arrested a suspect in a Bayview shooting that left a 38-year-old man with life-threatening injuries Friday night; the victim was promptly taken to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The shooter ran out of the train, according to a San Francisco supervisor. Police say the incident doesn't have any connection to an upcoming Pride event.
