May 20, 2021 05:33:04 PM Seven police officers have been sent on leave pending an internal investigation in relation to the impersonation case at the Raiwaqa Police Station. This comes after a man was recently arrested in Sigatoka for pretending to be a Police officer from the Raiwaqa Police Station. It is alleged that the man had impersonated a police officer and worked for three weeks at the Raiwaqa Police Station, unknown to the senior officers at the station. Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu said the incident has unveiled the laxity of a few middle managers in the Force. “We are working on further strengthening our internal processes and procedures to avoid a repeat of what transpired,” Tudravu said in a statement.
