PASIR MAS: An online business owner pleaded not guilty at the Magistrates Court here today, to 10 charges of deceiving another online businessman who allegedly suffered losses amounting to RM201,000 between May and September last year.

GEORGE TOWN: The Sessions Court here fined 25 foreign workers a total of RM125,000 for flouting standard operating procedure by gathering illegally during Hari Raya Aidiladha.
The men, aged between 23 and 41, pleaded guilty after their respective charges were read out to them before Sessions judge Norsalha Hamzah.
They admitted to gathering with others for social purposes at a house in Taman Desa Mutiara Indah in Batu Maung at around 9pm on Tuesday.
The offence, under Regulation 10 (1) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures in Local Areas of Infection), is punishable under Regulation 17 of the same Act which carries a fine not exceeding RM50,000 or imprisonment not exceeding six months, or both, upon conviction.
