Local trainer Brett Dodson should ensure the last meeting at Coffs Harbour in 2020 sees the stable add another winner to the tally before the New Year thanks to the exciting Parksville.
The three-year-old son of Golden Slipper winner Vancouver won a trial at Coffs Harbour by seven and a half lengths just 13 days before his debut across the border in an 1000m maiden at Eagle Farm where he raced handy from a wide draw to clock in a distant third.
“Gee, they ran some time,’’ Dodson said. “I think they ran faster than the Class 3 race on the day and the two in front of him, especially the winner, are going to handy horses.’’
