The firefight is still going on right now. 250 firefighters, paramedics, and First Responders called here, just like these firefighters you see on top of this bucket pouring water on to the flames from above. This is a fivealarm fire here in sunnyside queens. It started in a milling business filled with flammable materials, were talking about lumber, lacquer, thinners, machinery, that quickly went up in flames. Heres some video building. You can see that smoke for miles, and the orange glow of the flames, that fire consuming the first floor of the facility. Firefighters tried to go inside, but they were quickly surrounded by a wall of flames, and they had to get out. There was a brief mayday call. Pouring thousands of gallons of water on to the fire. There are four businesses that call this structure home. Did a bangup job. They saved three other businesses, three Large Businesses that they saved.
