Tennessee trio COIN released EP âGreen Blueâ Friday, the second volume in the indie-pop bandâs three-part EP series, âRainbow Mixtape.â Adding four tracks to the four included on the 2020 EP âIndigo Violet,â âGreen Blueâ explores an assortment of themes from love to religion. The EP opens with âSprite,â which effortlessly blends an angelic vocal performance from lead singer Chase Lawrence with skittering drums. Although the songâs captivating, melodic synths pulled me in, it was the chorusâs catchy lyrics that held me: âOh, Iâm just out of touch / And Iâve just about had enough.â Like the classic lemon-lime soft drink, âSpriteâ left me feeling refreshed.
