The Indian Army has rescued 910 students and 50 others from a private university in Punjab that was severely flooded in heavy rainfall. Flood relief columns of the Army s Western Command were sent in to assist with the civil administrations rescue efforts in Rupnagar, Mohali, and Panchkula, while engineers focused on preventing the breach of a canal and repairing an embankment to avoid further flooding.
