Heavy rain and snowfall is likely over low and mid reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand between 28th and 30th Jan, with peak activity on 29th Jan.
The hills of north India have been witnessing some good rain and snow for the past few days due to the presence of a western disturbance. In fact, the hills are in store for more such Western disturbances in the coming days which will result in even more rain and snow over the region.
Many roads are already closed due to snowfall. A long weekend is coming. 26th January is on Thursday, one leave on Friday on 27th will extend the weekend until 29th Sunday.
Cold wave conditions have commenced over past of Rajasthan. Now these cold winds will sweep across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra leading to winter chill once again.
rain and snow are expected to be seen today and a massive reduction will be seen tomorrow. Isolated activity may be seen tomorrow due to the remnant of the system. Thereafter, complete clearance will be seen and cold snap due to the passage of the system will sweep in across the hills of North India and such situation will continue until January 17.
