The Mandi District Administration in Himachal Pradesh used Air Force helicopters to deliver food items and medicines to remote areas affected by heavy rains and landslides. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) also rescued 51 people from cloudburst incident sites in the Mandi district. Former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur visited landslide-affected areas and called for rations to be provided to those living there. The monsoon fury in Himachal has resulted in 224 deaths and caused a loss of Rs 8014.61 crore ($1.1 billion) since June 24.
