The NIA had registered a case against seven known and other unnamed persons under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the UA (P) Act on March 5, 2021.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials, along with the local police, conducted simultaneous searches at 11 locations, including two in Bengaluru, eight in Kerala, spread over Kannur, Mallapuram, Kollam and Kasaragod, and one location in Delhi, in a case pertaining to alleged terrorist activities of a group led by Mohammed Ameen alias Abu Yahya from Kerala for his ISIS link. Three persons, who were allegedly part of the ring, were arrested on Monday.
The accused have been identified as Mohammed Ameen alias Abu Yahaya, Mushab Anuvar and Dr. Rahees Rashid. Ameen was leading the module and the other two arrested were his close associates, a release said.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested three persons on Monday during raids at 11 locations in Kerala, Karnataka and Delhi in connection with a new ISIS module that had planned targeted killings in Kerala and Karnataka, an official said.
While main accused Mohammed Ameen alias Abu Yahaya was arrested in Delhi, two others Mushab Anuvar and Dr Rahees Rashid were arrested in Kerala.
NIA said the module wanted to link with Jammu and Kashmir s ISIS-linked terror groups. A case was registered after intelligence agencies gave inputs of an ISIS-linked group radicalising youth online.
