CHAIRMAN of the Siparia Regional Corporation (SRC) Dinesh Sankersingh said the two days of incessant rain has totally wiped out the farming community in Woodland and other areas within his region.

Particularly in the south, many roads became impassable, and people suffered significant losses. Dr Allen Sammy, chairman of the Penal/Debe Regional Corporation, said flooding in areas under the corporation began at the Dabiedial Road Junction, and all four major junctions along the Penal Rock Road were also affected.
