Danial appeared in court via video link on Thursday (Jan. 7), looking unkempt and expressionless.
Lawyer requests access to Danial while he is remanded at the medical centre
He was represented by Nathan Shashidran and his team comprising Chin Li Wen Tanya and Laura Yeo Wei Wen. All three lawyers are from Withers Khattarwong LLP.
Nathan has since requested he be allowed access to Danial while he is in remanded the medical centre.
Previously, the lawyer had a zoom meeting with the accused after his last hearing on Dec. 31.
Danial is scheduled to return to court on Jan. 28.
Arrested and charged on Dec. 17
Teo was a 19-year-old Lasalle College of the Arts student who disappeared in June 2007.
Danial appeared in court via video link on Thursday (Dec. 31) and was represented by Nathan Shashidran and his team comprising Chin Li Wen Tanya and Laura Yeo Wei Wen.
All three lawyers are from Withers Khattarwong LLP.
He will be held in remand for another week as further investigations are required.
Arrested and charged on Dec. 17
He has been in remand at the Central Police Division since then.
The accused s lawyer, Nathan, said on Dec. 31 that investigators have interviewed Danial and done some investigations that have yet to be completed as Danial was sick.

SINGAPORE, Dec 18 The two suspects identified in the alleged murder of 19-year-old Felicia Teo Wei Ling, who went missing 13 years ago, are Ahmad Danial Mohamed Rafa’ee and Ragil Putra Setia Sukmarahjana.
All three had attended the Lasalle College of the Arts, based on the two suspects’ social media accounts.

SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/ANN): A man was charged on Thursday (Dec 17) with the murder of a female arts student more than 13 years after her disappearance.
Ahmad Danial Mohamed Rafa’ee, 35, appeared in a district court via a video-link and was accused of murdering Felicia Teo Wei Ling, 19, on June 30,2007, between 1.39am and 7.20am at a 10th-floor unit of Block 19 Marine Terrace.
The bespectacled man who wore his hair long, had ear piercings and was handcuffed - had a blank expression when the charge was read out to him.

More than 13 years after a teenage girl went missing, sparking a massive search for her, a man has been charged with her murder.
Miss Felicia Teo, 19, a final-year student at Lasalle College of the Arts, was last seen at Marine Terrace on June 30, 2007.
Despite a search that extended across the Causeway and desperate pleas from her family and friends for information on her whereabouts, Miss Teo was never found.
Even up to the middle of this year, the police continued to work on her case in the hope of finding leads on her possible whereabouts.
When there was none, the cases were referred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for a fresh review.
