Amid growing calls for the Ballito Rage Festival to be cancelled, the organisers announced on Wednesday that the remainder of the controversial event would not go ahead.
In a statement released by the organisers on Wednesday, it reported that out of the 940 guests and staff who were tested, 32 guests and four staff members tested positive.
Organisers of the popular festival went ahead and kicked off festivities on Tuesday despite concerns around new COVID-19 infections, driven by the fast-spreading Omicron variant.
