Three goons of Wanawadi area went on a
rampage lasting almost eight hours and vandalised three shops and a petrol pump, stole money and tried to kill a shopkeeper here on Monday. The police who are supposed to be on high alert during the lockdown period to prevent the flouting of rules were nowhere in sight to intervene and possibly prevent an old man from being hospitalised post injuries.
Maharashtra: Maharashtra Police has recently arrested 8 people, including 3 Bangladeshi nationals. It is being told that they have allegedly tampered with documents to obtain an Indian passport. According to reports, letterheads of MLAs have also been recovered from two of them. It is being said that they had prepared it in a fake way. The accused arrested have been identified as 25-year-old Mohammad Israel Hussain, 23-year-old army Ahmed Mujral and 28-year-old Akram Khan.
All three are Bangladeshi citizens. Apart from these, Sajid Hyder Munsie (50) and Abdul Rahim Sheikh (50) are agents. Three other people have been arrested for helping them. In a recent statement issued by Maharashtra ATS, it said, The Kala Chowki unit received secret information in November that Akram Khan (28), a citizen of Bangladesh, is living illegally in Mumbai. He is helping people to get an Indian passport.
