Israel vows support for PH agri Eireene Jairee Gomez THE Israeli government has committed to provide continuous and stronger support for the Philippine agriculture sector, with hopes of delivering more investments to the country. In a roundtable with The Manila Times, Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines Rafael Harpaz said his government will be closely working with the Department of Agriculture (DA) to intensify technology transfer in agriculture-fishery sector, particularly fertigation, irrigation, post-harvest facilities, hydroponics “and all those technologies that Israel is already introducing to the Philippines.” Harpaz also mentioned that the government of Israel is sticking to its role to create the conditions that facilitate and help its private sector to invest in Philippine agriculture.
