That makes two excellent starts in a row for Hyun Jin Ryu. And three of the last four starts have been very good.
Tonight he went 7 innings, allowing 7 hits, 2 earned, 0 walks, and 8 strikeouts. Four of his seven innings were 3 up 3 down. He gave up back-to-back doubles in the sixth and a couple of hits in the fourth. But other than that, all went very well.
Rafael Dolis had a quick (for him) eighth inning.
Ryan Borucki got the ninth and got through it too fast for me to finish the recap.

TORONTO (AP) Hyun Jin Ryu pitched seven solid innings in his first start for Toronto on Canadian soil, George Springer and Teoscar Hernandez homered and the Blue Jays beat the Cleveland Indians 7-2 on Tuesday night.
Ryu waited more than a year and a half to take the mound as a home player in Toronto after signing an $80 million, four-year contract in December 2019. He started once at Rogers Centre as a rookie with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2013.
“It meant a lot for me, especially since after signing with the team, this was my first game out here,” Ryu said through a translator. “To walk out with the win as well, it means a lot.”

Teoscar Hernandez went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer and three RBIs, Hyun Jin Ryu struck out a season-best eight batters and the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the visiting Cleveland Indians 7-2 Tuesday night.
George Springer had a solo home run, a sacrifice fly and a double to help the Blue Jays gain a split of the first two games of the four-game series.
Ryu (11-5) allowed two runs, seven hits and no walks in seven innings.
Cleveland s Zach Plesac (6-4) gave up six runs and 10 hits in five innings.
