Tweenhills and Qatar Racing launched and hosted Tweenhills Angus Burger and Tweenhills Coffee  vans at the Tattersalls December Foal and December Mare Sales to raise money for Racing Welfare - and it resulted in a near £10,000 welcome boost for the charity.  The van proved extremely popular with attendees at the sale and provided a range of burgers, breakfast rolls and barista-style coffees. In total the takeaway vans raised £9,865.65, all of which Sheikh Fahad Al Thani, chairman of Qatar Racing, and David Redvers, Qatar Racing’s racing manager and owner of Tweenhills, have donated to Racing Welfare.  Redvers said: “We are delighted to be able to support Racing Welfare in these incredibly challenging times and wish to thank everyone for their custom.

A head girl who has shown “unwavering dedication and loyalty” took home the top prize at the Godolphin Stud & Stable Staff Awards. Rebecca “Beck” Edmunds, of Bryan Smart Racing, won the leadership award and was then named the 2021 employee of the year at the virtual event (22 February), taking home £30,000 to be split between her and the team. She was nominated for the awards by her boss, who cited Beck’s “exceptional knowledge, unwavering dedication and loyalty” and her attention to detail when working with both horses and humans.
