MOUNT DORA Over the years, Mount Dora has become known for their many festivals they hold downtown, like the Art Festival, Seafood Festival, Craft Fairs and more. However, that came to a standstill as the pandemic hit last March and the downtown businesses faced uncertainty with the minimal foot traffic.
But a glimpse of hope was seen last weekend as the Scottish Highland Festival returned, filling the streets with music, vendors and entertainment.
“I’m so glad the city decided to have this,” Cindy Lamar said. “We’ve missed coming out here and enjoying all the different festivals and just enjoying the beautiful downtown Mount Dora. We are all taking our precautions of course, but it’s nice to be back.”
