A five-month-old baby has died and his mother left in critical condition after being hit by a van.
Rachel Thorold, 36, was pushing her son Louis in his pram along a pavement on the A10, Ely Road, in Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire, on Friday when they were hit by a van after it collided with another car.
Police on Monday appealed for witnesses to the “extremely tragic and sad” incident in which Louis was killed, while his mother is currently in a critical but stable condition at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
