The new learning environment was designed and manufactured by Rolleston-based firm Concision. Extra facilities would be constructed but new spaces were required in the meantime. The Ministry of Education contracted Rolleston-based Concision to provide the 12 modules and four breakout rooms. Principal Rachel Skelton said other Christchurch schools could benefit from the fast installation of the new learning environments. “This is a very functional, flexible and multipurpose space,” she said. “The fact it was built locally as well is also great.” Deputy principal Kelly Tippett, who teaches year 13 advisory classes in the new building, said the seniors loved having a purpose-built space.
