More women are taking the leap into business ownership in Ireland. For start-ups using support from Enterprise Ireland, the 2012 statistics were stark, with just 8% of applicants being female. However, by 2022 it had increased to 37%. Siobhán Howe speaks to the female owners of some Irish businesses that have been set up in the last five years to hear their stories the challenges, the sacrifices, the determination, and at the core the love of what they do that drives them to continue.
