Cassville aims to boost marketing efforts, local tourism
The city of Cassville has announced a new partnership with Element 79 Media Group, aimed at boosting economic and tourism development.
Element 79 is a new media agency in Cassville, managed by former Cassville Chamber Director, Rachael Freeman.
Rachael proved she had a heart for Cassville during her time at the Chamber of Commerce, said Steve Walensky, city administrator. She was instrumental in our inaugural TroutFest, even getting the attention of Bass Pro Shops as a sponsor. She orchestrated the fundraising of over $25,000 to go toward the new fish cleaning station at Roaring River State Park. In 2019, she was named as Cassville Schools Friend of Education. Rachael works hard for the good of our community.

Williams: I have some huge shoes to fill, but I am excited
After more than two years, Rachael Freeman has stepped down as Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce director, and Morgan Williams is stepping into Freemans shoes.
Williams
Williams began her role officially on Monday with a sense of excitement for the new opportunity.
This is a new experience for me, and it is really exciting, she said. I came from Cox Monett, and I graduated from Cassville. I have been in the area since I was 3, so almost my whole life.
Williams has children who attend Cassville schools and said she and her husband have no intention on leaving the area.

Banners to be hung in future holiday seasons
Jill LeCompte has served as a member of the Soroptimist International Club of Barry County for nearly 15 years.
While those years have been filled with community service projects, fundraising efforts and awarding scholarship money to young women in our county, they have also been filled with lots of love, laughter and friendship.
When club members learned the news that LeComptes husband, Michael, had passed away unexpectedly they were heart-broken for their friend and fellow club member.
