Former champion jockey Oisin Murphy, who was banned for 14 months by the British Horseracing Authority for COVID and alcohol-related breaches, is preparing to return to the saddle.
Three-time champion jockey Oisin Murphy has been handed a 14-month ban and a $42,280 (£31,111) fine by the British Horseracing Authority after a hearing over his breaches of rules relating to COVID restrictions and two instances of alcohol use on race days. The ban is backdated to Dec. 8, when Murphy relinquished his license to focus on rehab, and will last until Feb. 16, 2023.
