Akhil Akkineni seems to have undergone a massive makeover. His hair is longer, eyes are steely and gone is the sweet boy-next-door look he sported in all his previous films. Oozing attitude, the actor looks like a man transformed in his next film, Agent. Revealing that he has decided to “surrender to Surender”, the actor presented a whole new side of him on social media.
Surender Reddy, who last directed the Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, is getting back to his comfort zone with writer Vakkantham Vamsi. The duo that previously pulled off masala potboilers like Kick and Race Gurram look forward to their next. “It’s definitely time for the world to see the action hero I see in Akhil,” says an excited Surender, adding, “After his first film, I don’t believe anyone explored the potential in him to be that kind of hero. We saw only glimpses of it in his previous films but now it’s time to go all out.”

On Akhil Akkineni’s birthday, the actor got the nation talking about him as he revealed the first look of his next film – Surrender. The actor who’s known for his chocolate-boy looks and the cute boy-next-door avatar has undergone a complete transformation for his next Surrender.
Surrender is directed by Surender Reddy who has helmed some hit films down South like Race Gurram, Kick and 2019’s hit film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Allu Arjun and Allu Sirish never thought of acting
Speaking to Bollywood Life, Allu Sirish said, “In fact, both of us never thought of acting as kids. I used to say I want to become a cricketer or WWF (now WWE) player. I actually seriously thought I’d be a WWF player. Hulk Hogan was my childhood favourite.”
Both Allu Arjun and Allu Sirish hail from the longstanding and prestigious Allu-Konidela film family of Telugu cinema.
He further said, “We both thought that we’d probably play cricket, you know…or something random because acting, we did it (as child artistes), but we thought we’d do a one-off for the fun of it or something. We never thought of it as our business. We never thought of it that way.”
