CORNWALL, Ontario – May 23 to 29 is Paramedic Services Week and the Cornwall-SDG Paramedic Service is looking back on a difficult year full of hard work. Over the past year, the Cornwall-SDG Paramedic Service have helped the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) administer tens of thousands of COVID-19 tests and more recently thousands of doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. While serving on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cornwall-SDG Paramedic Service has also faced the increasing number of opioid overdoses that has swept the region.
