A women group stormed the streets of Kano State on Sunday to protest against the Court Of Appeal judgement which sacked the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf. The protesters expressed their disappointment over the court rulings on election matters nationwide, particularly in Kano, which had generated a lot of controversies. The group alleged that the body language of the court showed that the justices allegedly wanted to deliberately manipulate the law in the interest of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC).

There is heavy presence of security operatives across the metropolis of Kano State on Saturday as the police stopped the planned rally and protest by the supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the state. The two political parties and their supporters meanwhile shelved their protests as no one was sighted on the streets for the protest on Saturday.
The presence of heavy security across Kano state on Saturday, November 25, led to the cancellation of the APC and the NNPP's supporters planned protest and rally.
