Former Chief Minister of West Bengal Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee has been hospitalised due to lower respiratory tract infection and Type-II respiratory failure. The 79-year-old former CM is suffering from COPD and has other chronic ailments. He was brought to Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata in a special ambulance accompanied by his doctors through a green corridor by Kolkata Police.
