Casimir told KTW confirmation of dates and times for appointments is still to be determined. At present, Indigenous seniors ages 65 years and older (born before 1956) are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine and can book an appointment by calling 1-877-740-7747 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. any day of the week. People must wear a mask and have their care card with them at their vaccine appointment. Casimir, who was diagnosed with COVID-19 in early February, said the number of vaccine doses the band will be receiving is expected to be enough to cover their entire on and off reserve population over the age of 18, which is about 600 people.
