block the u.s. government or wage a war. and the justice department doesn t pull any punches whenever they are arguing to the judge already on paper. they do quote somebody who took the stand at their trial and called them a traitor. that is how they start their argument. they say these people are traitors. and then they say that these defendants are unlike any of the hundreds of other defendants sentenced for their roles in the attack. so they are asking for 25 years for stewart rhodes. another man, kelly meggs, an oath keeper being sentenced, the justice department is asking for 21 years for him. that is quite large, quite significant. we will see if the judge ask going to do that. already the judge is looking at that case and spent a lot of time yesterday factoring in a lot of the things, legal and both the personal impact that this case, that these men and what they are convicted of doing, how it affected tpeople and those people who were there was testimony from people who were
trump if it was today, but he s not taking the run off the table. watch. harris: all my options are on the table and live to see how things develop. i don t want to be doing something that doesn t make sense, where it would be impactful. i don t know how that s all going to be decided yet. we are being prepared. jessica: we can all agree, that chair is not a fabulous look for the governor. what do you make of this? do you think trump feeds off of a primary and it s good for him, or do you think it would cost him a headache or two? chris: i think it depends. john kasich is irrelevant. if we want to quote somebody, why don t we find somebody who has won a primary or elected a president? when john kasich was tailor-made to men in hampshire and coming only a 15% there. he only got 5% in south carolina and about it. parade in arizona he finished behind marco rubio, who had already dropped out. he s relevant in the 2020

gorsuch. i imagine you have your own views about. this the three things we learned clerking for gorsuch. don t blind yourself on case s weaknesses. he talks about how to win? he does, judge gorsuch was a trial lawyer before he was a judge, and share his what we call war stories, i m a trial lawyer myself during litigating. and one of the important things as an advocate is not let the weaknesses of your case blind you to how to win it, but i think he used that same type of openness in mind when he was judging because he had to keep a very open mind to hear the party s cases before him and decide the cases based on the law. harris: we have a president who says he likes to win, too. so it might not be a surprise that he picked this person as well. you know, i want to quote somebody who would imagine you are familiar with as a democrat, that was the former solicitor general for president obama neal katyal.
