CASPER, Wyo Spring turkey and nonresident elk hunting applications are due by Feb 1, Wyoming Game and Fish announced.
The
spring turkey season opens April 1 in the Powder River Management Area, which includes all of Campbell, Johnson and Sheridan counties.
All other hunt areas open April 20. All hunt areas close for the season May 31.

Applicants can apply for only one turkey license, with a bag limit of one turkey, before the drawing is complete. After the initial drawing, a person may apply for up three wild turkey licenses valid for the season, provided that at least two of those are Limited Quota Type 3 licenses, Game and Fish said.
