59 people are dead and well over 500 have been injured. The story as we understand it starts with a 64yearold man, apparently a veteran gambler in las vegas who days ago checked into a hotel room with several suitcases of weapons. A hotel room situated 32 stories above an event field that last night hosted 22,000 people for a Country Music festival. Before people knew what was happening to them or what that noise was or where it was coming from, some were already dead and wounded. The firing lasted minutes at a time seemingly indiscriminate pausing apparently only to reload. First responders were heroic and so were so many civilians, many of whom helped each other while in great danger themselves. The gunman and otherwise unremarkable 64yearold named Stephen Paddock apparently killed himself right before the swat team entered the room and put an end to him. His own brother said he was quote just a guy and now of course, hes a mass murderer. We dont know a motive as one of our journalis
