Police have not released the name of the deceased pending notification to the victim’s next of kin. At 1:40 a.m. police received a 911 call reporting a one-car accident with serious injuries on Pequot Avenue at Glenwood Avenue. The operator of the motor vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police said in a statement that members of the department’s investigative services division and accident reconstruction team have an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash.
