KEY ACTION Held the first reading of an ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into a three-year police service agreement with Wilmot, effective May 1.
DISCUSSION Council agreed there will be no lapse in police coverage to Wilmot. The contract, if approved by Wilmot, increases the coverage from $20,000 to $24,000 per year beginning May 1. The cost will increase by $500 per year for the remaining two years of the contract that expires April 30, 2024.
OTHER ACTION
Held a records retention meeting prior to the council meeting. A second meeting will be 6:30 p.m. April 5 to determine what files can be destroyed.
