appointee, ruled that the fda s decades of approval on mifepristone was in valid, despite expert testimony from public health professionals, who deemed it safe. unlike has merrick, the fifth circuit kept the original fda approval of mifepristone in place, but their decision reverses recent regulatory changes that made that drug more widely available. and would now require patients to make three visits to a doctor to get their prescription. it would also ban mail delivery, and it would rollback eligibility from ten weeks of pregnancy to seven weeks. a justice department spokesperson says they will file an appeal, but it s important to know that this week s decision does not immediately hinder access to the abortion pill. the supreme court this year issued a stay while the case goes to the appeals process, and that will continue to apply until the court takes up the case, either this year, or perhaps in 2025. stick around, we ve got the second hour of a minute beginning right after a qui
