governor ron desantis over its preliminary decision, florida s preliminary decision to reject a course on a.p. african american stud dis. the statement says florida is attempting to claim a political victory by taking credit retroactively for changes that were never suggested to us. we afford courtesy to an education agency but they ve exploited this courtesy for their political agenda. that prompted this response earlier today from florida republican governor ron desantis. the college board was the one that in a black studies course put queer theory in, not us. they did that. they were the ones that put in intersectionality. they put in other types of neo marxism into the proposed syllabus. this is the proposed course. so our department of education looked at that and said in florida we do education, not

indoctrination, so that runs afoul of our standard. one of the other things he said in his remarks, nia-malika, he s sick of politicians allowing fear of being called names, them avoiding fights like this. i think he was talking about the word racist. i think no matter what desantis was going to try to turn this into a political victory. he s famous of saying florida is the state where woke comes to die. i m not really sure what that means. i have been saying that i think the college board in this a.p. studies course, i think it s a great course the way it ended up being. i think classrooms are places where queer theory, intersectionality will come up. kimberly crenshaw will come up, it s ancient africa to afro futurism. i think for desantis, when you think about a primary, this is
