Reggae in the Park’s back for another year to celebrate the legacy of Jamaican music legend Bob Marley but it’ll be held in a new location.
Thousands annually pack in to Queenstown Gardens every February 6 to listen to the funky tunes, but council’s busy making upgrades there, so today’s party’s moved to St Omer Park.
Organiser Tyrone Morehu, best known as DJ Pops, says he’s got no complaints about the temporary switch, estimating a lower turnout than usual.
‘‘About 50-60% of the people we get normally are backpackers or visitors.’’
