Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) has apologised for accidentally emailing 24,000 year 12 students across the state, informing them they are ineligible for an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).

Queensland s opposition education spokesman, Christian Rowan, has demanded Education Minister Grace Grace explain why 24,000 Year 12 students have received an email from the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre telling them they were suddenly not eligible for an ATAR score.
In 2020, Queensland has shifted from its previous Overall Position ranking system to the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) system, which is used in every other state.
