Ruth McFarlane believes their efforts have demonstrated a “strong school community” throughout the course of 2020. In her last school bulletin to parents before Christmas, Ms McFarlane highlighted ways in which the school had to adapt over the year – including the facilities team spending 90 minutes opening all the windows in the school each day for better air circulation. It is just one health and safety protocol that has become the norm and she went on to thank all members of the school for adapting to the ‘new normal’. She also added staff attendance had never been higher. Two more coronavirus cases confirmed at Dunfermline schools NHS FIFE officials have confirmed they are investigating two new positive COVID-19 cases linked to schools in Dunfermline. FIFE COUNCIL have revealed how they plan to keep on top of school-related COVID cases over Christmas . get pupils to keep records on a piece of paper or their mobile phones! From tomorrow (Thursday), all West Fife high school pupils are required to maintain a record of their close contacts. At the end of EVERY lesson they will be asked to record: Pupil names (first names only) of those sitting around them within a two-metre radius. Name of teacher if within a two-metre radius. A close contact is any person (including their teacher) that the pupil has been within two metres of (including walking to and from school, during class, interval or lunch) or on school transport (including bus company, Stagecoach and pick-up/drop-off point).
