Quebec Premier Announces Changes to His Cabinet – February 24, 2021
At a press conference in Quebec City, Quebec Premier François Legault announces new roles for some members of his cabinet. Legault appoints Benoit Charette as minister responsible for the fight against racism. The creation of this position was one of the recommendations made by the Groupe d’action contre le racisme (Quebec’s anti-racism task force). Charette would also remain Quebec’s minister of environment. The premier also appoints Lucie Lecours as associate minister of economy and Jonathan Julien as minister responsible for the region of Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine.
